In the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine was published in June 2000 a paper on the haemodynamic effects of sildenafil in men with severe coronary artery disease.

Researchers from Philadelphia (Howard Herrmann, Gene Chang, Bruce Klugherz, Paul Mahoney) studied the effect of Viagra in patients with severe stenosis of at least one coronary artery, as it is often the presence of cardiovascular risk factors in men with erectile dysfunction and since indicating precautions with the use of the drug in these patients.

There were 100 mg of sildenafil, which is not brought disruption of the flow of the coronary or significant changes in these arteries.

At the conclusion of this important work was detected no adverse effects on the cardiovascular area in these patients with severe coronary disease treated with Viagra.
